Sustainability

We see sustainability as an attempt to provide the best outcomes for the human and natural environments both now and into the indefinite future. In this respect, we are commited to being active in three areas:

• Ecology
• Social  integration
• Supporting of private associations

Ecology
In our opinion, ecology should be considered from different points of view. On a small scale, each individual in our organisation is urged not to waste paper and other resources. However, ecology means more to us! For example, we are constantly replacing our injection molding machines with new models, which are more sparing to natural resources. Furthermore, a good deal of the total amount of electricity consumed by our plant is being generated by using renewable energies such as hydropower.

Social integration
Being successful as a company means more than just increasing market share, margins and cash flow. Being successful in a holistic way also means contributing to the progress of our society. This is why we support charitable institutions in our area such as Zuger Werkstätte für Behinderte,  Stiftung Maihof, Pro Senectute, KISPEX, or Samariterverein Rotkreuz.

Think global - act local: Support of private associations
In our opinion, associations such as sports clubs are not just good for spending leisure time. They can also play an important role in education by teaching young people how to interact in a team and giving them a sound social background. For that reason, GEMÜ supports a couple of sports clubs in the Rotkreuz area.
