Does FlipTube® create any aerosols when it is opened?
Almost every container can create aerosols when it is opened quickly. When using FlipTube®, you can prevent creation of aerosols by putting your finger not to the very end of the lid but a little more to the middle of the lid. By doing so, you can open FlipTube® slowly and very smoothly. Thus, no aerosols are created. Please also look at the pictures linked below:

Is FlipTube® free of DNAse and RNAse?
FlipTube® is manufactured in a clean environment. Our analyses show that there are no residues of DNAse and RNAse on the product. Please contact us if you need a certification for your own batch (with costs).
Can FlipTube® be stored at -50° Celsius?
FlipTube® is made of Polypropylene. Under normal circumstances, this material can only bear -10° Celsius. However, exact resistance to cold is always depending on the application and conditions. We have seen cases where FlipTube® withstood -50° Celsius!
Can FlipTube® be autoclaved?
Yes, FlipTube® can be autoclaved.
How long is the shelf live of FlipTube®?
Tests showed that FlipTube® can be used more than two years after the manufacturing date. The exact shelf live strongly depends on the storage conditions.

Which are the main advantages of FlipTube®?
Due to the innovative opening mechanism of FlipTube®, the user's finger never touches the interior of the tube. This eliminates the risk of cross contamination between finger/glove and the liquid contained in the tube. Furthermore, working with FlipTube® is by far more convenient compared to standard microcentrifuge tubes.
